I love Scrabble, possibly because I like doing crossword puzzles. The problem is I don't really know anyone else who likes it, so I never get to play.
Balderdash. Scrabble. SCATTERGORIES!!! (I LOVE Scattergories). Trivial Pursuit. Monopoly. Life (I like when it tells me to get married, I always chose the "blue" person instead of the "pink" one, much to my family's chagrin). ~String

shit i have read of an instance were a dippy(diplomacy) player won a game by blackmailing another player with their marital infidelity. to a dippy freak nothing and i do mean nothing is considered out of bounds to use in the negtionating phase of the game.

My and among friends favourite is Chess. I was learning Go last year, but then somehow abandoned it, although it still seems a good game to me, but I just haven't got the time to play through Go games, Chess is quicker.
A serious but friendly game of Go with a reasonable person takes about 45 minutes. Elegant game, that one.
