I'd suggest that anyone who hasn't heard the Pixies download at least one of the first two songs aforementioned immediately, for, they are just totally awesome.

The thing about Where is My Mind that hit me first is the guitar riff they do that just sounds really cool, the lyrics don't particularly impress me because they make virtually no sense, but then again maybe that doesn't matter...

Debaser is awesome because of the molestation reference, among other things of couse.

Bone Machine, again, because of the guitar. The song itself seems so dark and gothic, almost like a german amazon with a chainsaw is standing over me, ready to whip me or take off a limb with a chainsaw...or something. Good song:)

Number 13 Baby just sounds cool.

Gouge away! Contrast hard/soft, bass line...yes!

Where is my mind, velouria, dig for fire, holiday song, nimrod's son, U-Mass.

Oh, and wave of mutilation!

A toughie..

WIMM, Bone Machine, and No 13..no brainers. But there are many others which I love just as much..

I have this thing for 'Dead.' Also, 'Rock Music.' They share alot of the traits that I like about the pixies.

'The happening' is also a great song.

Yes, the Pixies are an amazing band. The greatest indie band of all time. Doolittle, of course, easily one of the greatest albums 'ever'. Bigger in the UK than the USA oddly enough.. Well, it's not really odd, it's just that Britain has better taste in music than America.
Sadly enough, though, you won't find many people here who like the Pixies.. They're most likely to be interested in Metalica, Linkin Park, and Iron Maiden or any other shit, nonprofound music like that.

As for my favourite Pixies track, Monkey Gone To Heaven.
