Include "Sehnsucht" and I will vote. :m: Avatar 04-17-05, 05:29 PM And "Ich Will", "Sonne" by Rammstein and "Vollmond" by In Extremo. Xev 04-17-05, 07:00 PM Well then "Thorns" and "Krieg" by Wumpscut, or "Die Interimsliebenden" by Einsturzende Neubauten. But probably a Bach chorale. Avatar 04-17-05, 07:04 PM There is a german version of the song "Thorns"? I have heard only only the english version. Xev 04-17-05, 07:07 PM I thought most Wumpscut songs had a corresponding German version? Avatar 04-17-05, 07:09 PM Well.. I have most of Wumpscut's discography.. maybe he doesn't release corresponding german versions or those albums have other titles. Avatar 04-17-05, 07:13 PM A german version album would be "Music For A German Tribe", but it doesn't have "Thorns" Xev 04-17-05, 07:35 PM " Well.. I have most of Wumpscut's discography.. " I don't. I just recall reading an interview with Rudy R saying that most of the songs on that album had been remixed in German. But I must be remembering wrong. Avatar 04-17-05, 07:40 PM Maybe there is such a version and I just don't have that particular album (if it is some other). Anyways, this is off-topic by now  Xev 04-17-05, 07:44 PM Yes, let's get on the topic of good German songs that have to be on that list and in no way associated with National Socialism. My favorite German song is "Sie kommt herum die Bergen wann Sie kommen" and after that "Turkei in der Straw" Hapsburg 04-17-05, 08:23 PM you should listen to "die wacht am rhein" awesome song, from the 1850s. really heroic-sounding as a march, too. so is hohenfriedbereger. oh, damn! i should've put "preussens gloria" on there. but, heres a site with it as a midi form: http://www.angelfire.com/on4/pzrwest/page5.html really cool sounding panzerlied and koniggratzer too.. MewSkitty 04-17-05, 08:48 PM Mine's not on that list. My favorite German song is Schnapii (sp?) It's the #1 kids song in Germany, from what I know of. Killjoy 04-17-05, 09:57 PM Mine's "Neun und Neunzig Luftballons"...!!! Nena - "99 Luftballons" (1984) (http://www.80smusiclyrics.com/artists/nena.htm) :p Dreamwalker 04-18-05, 05:10 AM Mine's not on that list. My favorite German song is Schnapii (sp?) It's the #1 kids song in Germany, from what I know of. And now I would like to shoot you... As to the topic, I do not like the options that much, and since I have a lot of german songs I like, it would be a bit lenghty to list my favorites. Hapsburg 04-18-05, 02:09 PM i didnt ask you to share your fav. german songs!! in the words of Puffy "vote or die, muthafukka, vote or die!" --south park joke, you wounldnt understand-- Avatar 04-18-05, 02:12 PM Nobody here cares what you asked, oh ruler. :p p.s. Why didn't you include songs by Rammstein? Hapsburg 04-18-05, 02:16 PM wouldnt let me go over 12 for some reason. Hapsburg 04-18-05, 02:17 PM oh, cool... who else voted for Schwarz Rot Gold? whitewolf 04-18-05, 06:15 PM Wir Sin Die Braunen Soldaten is so far my favorite. I'm looking forward to acquiring more. Nah, I don't like any of those on the list. However, the thread title clearly asks for a favorite German song. Hapsburg 04-18-05, 06:17 PM yes, from the list given above. okay, so for some inherently bleeped-up reason, you hate "Deutschland Uber Alles?" :bugeye: Tiassa 05-31-05, 10:29 PM I like that little song and dance Cartman does to save Chef.
