Well then "Thorns" and "Krieg" by Wumpscut, or "Die Interimsliebenden" by Einsturzende Neubauten.
But probably a Bach chorale.

 

There is a german version of the song "Thorns"? I have heard only only the english version.

Well.. I have most of Wumpscut's discography..
maybe he doesn't release corresponding german versions or those albums have other titles.

 

A german version album would be "Music For A German Tribe",
but it doesn't have "Thorns"

I don't. I just recall reading an interview with Rudy R saying that most of the songs on that album had been remixed in German. But I must be remembering wrong.

 

Maybe there is such a version and I just don't have that particular album (if it is some other).

Yes, let's get on the topic of good German songs that have to be on that list and in no way associated with National Socialism.

My favorite German song is "Sie kommt herum die Bergen wann Sie kommen" and after that "Turkei in der Straw"

really heroic-sounding as a march, too.

Mine's not on that list. My favorite German song is Schnapii (sp?) It's the #1 kids song in Germany, from what I know of.

As to the topic, I do not like the options that much, and since I have a lot of german songs I like, it would be a bit lenghty to list my favorites.
