Evil Dead 2. Mostly because I couldn't work out if it was a spoof or if it was serious. Either way it's the funniest thing I've ever seen.

LIFE

That movie had me rolling in the aisles and pissing myself. Funny thing is that whenever I bring it up people kind of look all let down and are all like "yeah.....it was okay". What the hell?

time.

Maybe they saw another version. The one I saw had me in tears.

OK, if we've got it narrowed down to Monty Python, I'll pick "The Meaning of Life."

OK, so we're not limited to just Monty Python movies any more. So my favorite comedy is...

Well my list of favorite movies is too long to pick just one. But I promise to only post one per day.

Today, my favorite comedy is:

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Probably weird science for nostalgic reasons.

Monty Python's Holy grail is classic of course.

Bill Murray the genius - Stripes, caddyshack, groundhog day.

Big lebowski is right up there and my fave as of late.

Evil Dead 2, The Big Lebowski, and any MST3K spoof (especially Pod People and MST3K: The Movie).

I completely forgot about Dumb and Dumber... hilarious.

Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention Wayne's World 2.

"How do I get back home?"

"Follow the weird naked Indian..."

"Well, here we are at Picadilly Circus."

"What a shitty circus. There aren't even any animals or clowns."

- - - - -

"Take me, Garth."

"Where? I'm low on gas, and you need a jacket."

- - - - -

"Did Jim give you Dell Preston's exact address?"

"Yeah, he said exactly London, England."

Hee, I had to. :D

"Something about Mary", starring an unlucky Ben Stiller, was hilarious the first time round. The funniest film I've seen in the last couple of years has got to be "Parole Officer". I'm not sure whether it would go down too well in North America, but I thought it got the British sense of humour spot on. Steve Coogan (the lead) is first class. I don't think that I've ever laughed as hard as I did at him puking up all over some school girls on a roller coaster ride (after trying out an ex-con's curry recipe). Coogan manages to be as inept as Stiller is unlucky! Great stuff!

Back to choosing among Pythons again I see. Nobody liked "Life of Brian?" I thought it was hilarious. The "Romanes eunt domum" graffiti scene was a classic of highbrow humor.

Or the post-Python Pythons. "Fish Called Wanda," surely a top-notch comedy by any standards.

But to get back to my promise of a different non-Python every day until I've exhausted my Top 40, today I choose:

Love at First Bite with George Hamilton.

If you haven't seen it, it's the Count Dracula story, except it's set in the 1970s and he wakes up into communist Romania. The homage to the original is hilarious, vintage Hamilton.

Girl wooing Drac: "I've got a nice bottle of wine here from the gourmet market, and I just scored some really good shit."

Dracula, leering: "I do not drink..... vine. And I do not smoke.... shit."
