Yippie! Finally, an excuse to get cable in my semi-new apartment.

This isn't over yet... Not by a long shot.

I want movies, another series, books, comic books, anime, Farscape hats at walmart and I want David Letterman to use the term "frell" before he kicks the bucket. I wanna hear a joke on the subway about Chiana being a trelk. I want someone to know who John Critchton is, I want my future kids to know that D'argo broke up with Chiana for sleeping with Jothee and that Rygel farts hileum.

I want comedians to do Pilot impressions and internet sub cultures to write sick slash erotica. I want a million more fan websites then Star Trek, I want Gene Rodenberry to roll over in his grave and say "DAMNIT ROCKNE! YOU BEAT ME!"

That is what I want. Mini series? No, we will get more then a mini series.

Have you ever watched the show? Decent writing (which for the SiFi genre counts as GREAT writing) and budgets of millions of dollars an episode. Its one of the best scifi shows anyone has ever put on the air. I can only think of STTNG as superior off the top of my head.

ST:TNG isn't all that superior. It comes close, granted, but Farscape blows it out of the water. Let's put it this way; Farscape has the best stories and best special effects in than any scifi series to date. I would call it the Battlestar Gallactica of the 21st century.

To see some of the awesome special effects that Jim Henson Company did, go here: http://www.imagecreative.net/ Click enter site, you'll get a pop-up and from there click on the porfolio tab. You can view stuff from farscape like this freaky Scarren:

You won't see something that freaky on Enterprise.

Farscape is better than any other scifi show in that a lot of their characters aren't bipeds, which in my opinion goes to say a lot. They actually explain why all the aliens speak english. The characters themselves are tangible, interesting. I felt like shit when Crichton and Aeryn "died." I know they didn't die, but it still sucked major ass. They're some of the coolest scifi characters ever. Aeryn, the hardass commando who is slowly becoming more human, John, the working man's astronaut with endless troves of knowledge regarding human culture, television shows, that sort of thing. He's the dumb jock of outerspace, but he's markedly intelligent at the same time.

The twists and turns the episodes take are awesome. The concepts they introduce are fresh and intriguing (walking around in the corpse of a giant space monster, using wormholes to move planets around, traversing different dimensions, ughhh). The early seasons kind of blow in my opinion, they're way way way too conventional, but as the series progressed the show surpassed what can be considered incredible.

That's just my input. I'm extatic that they're bringing it back. Maybe if we're lucky Farscape will get the credit it deserves, we'll have people impersonating Chianna instead of Spock, that sort of thing.

Farscape IS really cool. I'd like to go back and watch the old episodes sometime.

Anyone seen the new Star Wars animated series on Cartoon Network? It's awesome. You can download the episodes (shorts) at www.cartoonnetwork.com.

The science is believable without having people walking around explaining to each other how stuff works. (Quick, anybody, tell me how the engine in your car makes the car move!) The characters are fully enough developed that we care about them. The story lines are clever and take us to places that we haven't already been on Star Trek, Bab 5, or SG-1.

The time that Crichton let them turn him into a statue because he is a good man and it was the right thing to do... that was stunning.

And Chianna is really hot!
