Looks like fans are attempting to go where no fans have gone before (hah haha hahah... hah... eh..) and pay for season 5 of Enterprise. They figure they'll need to raise $33 million to do it and already have the full support of the cast and crew as well as a nod from Paramount indicating they'll be willing to see how this plays out and possibly keep Enterprise on the air.

So any thoughts? I don't think anything like this has been attempted before, will be interesting to see if they pull it off. Is Enterprise really worth saving? Or has it always been a mediocre series whos time has come?

Personally I'd be surprised if this movement didn't make it into the news within the next week, it's already made it to /.

Similar shinanigans were attempted with Farscape. And that got a new miniseries to help 'end' the state it was left in at the end of series 4.

Although I'm not an Enterprise fan, I do enjoy watching it when it's on. Can't say it's classic sci-fi but it tells a story that some obviously feel needs to be told. Either that or part of the deal is that T'Pol shows a bit of nipple.

Farscape fans were willing to pay (Each $20) for a the fifth season. The idea was that there were one million fans, and if we each gave $20, we'd have the 20 million for the fifth season. To bad it doesn't work that way.

The Scapers wrote KFC and got them to sponser the miniseries, though.
