So i registered on Face book like a month ago and this girl who i used to be friends with at grad school got in touch with me. and we started chating and shit

Now we are going to meet up tomorrow in London, i have meeting in the mornign so we are going to hook up for lunch...

the weird thing is this girl contacted me via Freindsreunited about 3 years ago but after a couple of emails she did not respond. she now tells me that she thought i was being offish which i was not.

It seems weird that she would contact me again via face book if she thoguht i was being offish 3 years ago.

Anyway i am a bit nervous and curious about hooking up tomorrow. you see i quite had the hots for this girl when we were at UNI, i cant remember whether i actually asked her out but if i did she said no cos we did not go on any proper dates or anything, as i would have remembered that, maybe i did not ask her out, as i cant remember getting told to piss off.

we were in a couple of the same lecturers/seminars toegther and did a couple of presentations together.

i'm really not sure what i feel about this meeting tomorrow.

Yeah quite oli, but i have never been in this situation before... I hope i dont make a complete arse wipe of myself. Mind you i am not going there to hit on her or anything, but you know its just weird how she has done all the initiating on this one, and i am pretty sure she was not that interested at UNI apart from being mates and shit. but it still will be interesting to see how she is now.

i actually think i did ask her oout to the cinema but we never actually got round to sorting it out, as i thinkwe were only going to go as mates at the time.

now listen up Orelander why i you being so harsh.

i have been a member of Sciforums since the beginning of last year..

She will be cos i get to work at 7:00am in the morning and dont leave untill between 7-8pm(GMT) in the evening. if she knows i post here she would think that i am wasting time rather than go home to be with her and the kids..

but the fact is i have a very demanding job and i use Sciforums as a release and escape from a lot of pressure i have to deal with here. Unlike your boss who spends hours on the golf course!!!!!!!! i am probably one of the lowest paid memebers of staff here on an hourly rate as i do between 60 and 80 hours a week. with about 2-3 hours on sicforums per week cumulative...

my wife is at home because she does not know whether she wants to get a job or not and send the kids to full time nursery, she has no budget and can spend what she wants within reason, but she is a very complicated and to an extent demanding womanm, but that does not mean i dont love her for what she is. She resents the fact that i am at work and she thinks she has no choice but to look after the kids, this year i have taken 1 days holiday!!!!

i believe she is jealous of my work as it draws a lot of my attention. perhaps if you had £1million you can buy it off me and i can stay at home (a house with no friggin mortgage)with that money and the reserves of the company worth £750k (built up in 4.5 years) and then i will be bloddy laughing and get my self out of this hell hole of a life i have.

Nothing much man. Just been chilling and having fun. Am going on holiday in 2 moths time. Me and the wifey!

So i met this girl yesterday

we had a good chat abnout old times and shit.. she confirmed that i did ask her out and she said no cos i drank and smoked drugs.. for fucks sack who doesn't drink and do drugs at UNI. Mind you she is a muslim girl so i suppose thats fair play..

No funny business went on and i told the wife before hand (yesterday morning) that i was meeting up with a friend (who happens to be a girl) after my meeting in London.. She was ok with that...... But i have not told her about sciforums for the other reasons. It was really interesting to see someone after 11 years!!!

yeah it was really nice.. kinda wierd but nice... She is a little chubby nowadays as in aged i supopose, she is 34 now. we should definitely stay friends and if i had met her for the 1st time yesterday i doubt i would have fancied her or anything, as the physical attraction i did have for her has now gone. Still a nice sweet girl which is great and very modest and easy to talk too which are great qualities. we just chatted non stop for an hour and a half and there were no awkward silences or anything which was great.

the only lie she came out with was when she told me she did not got out with me cos i drank and smoked drugs!!! but i did not do any of that too excess anyway. i told her that if you dont do these things than how can you have expereince for when your kids get older and may start drinking and doing drugs. At least now i have experience of the situation.. Anyway i domnt drink now... well only on the rare occasions when the wife is not looking or when i am out with the boys and staying over some ones place which is only like on or twice a year.
