(Hello to all - Glad to be here - Not telling you my name, I'm 21 and from South Africa - blah blah blah - Continuing along ...)

I have always found the process of evolution of a species an interesting subject.
What interests me more on the other hand, is the evolution of the human being!

Will we evolve mentally, physically or both?
Will we evolve "by the forces/will of nature", could we have to evolve due to changes within the Earth's environment?

I have heard it said that human beings, at present, only use about 5-9% of their brain power for thought.
What were to happen were we to evolve into a state of consciousnes whereby our minds could use 100% of its potential?!
Would Earth turn to a union of a new kind? A union of minds perhaps? Perhaps mankind is destined to have telepathetic abilities - perhaps not.

What would our minds be capable of at this kind of intelligence?
Physically wise, would our bodies evolve in order to handle our brains, making us change in appearence? Then again, on the topic of appearance - would we even NEED a body?

Evolution takes hundreds, thousands if not millions of years to accomplish - will our descendants one day look back within their History Archives and view the timeline of Man's evolution? Will they note the difference in body structure of prehistoric (as we will undoubtably be termed) man ... two legs, two arms, chest, abdomen, brain the size of your fists placed together ... compared to their own current fisage? - A glowing ball of condensed super-accelerated high-energy electrons - able to take the shape and form of any object they desire? Brain power so incredibly powerful they can bend the very fabric of space and time - so incredibly powerful that we become our own God? - such as being able to create new planets for ourselves for example?

Maybe even we begin consider that we have, finally, reached the end of our evolutionary process, and begin to truely believe that we have become the VERY "image of God" - so ineffable as He is.

Questions like this are unanswerable at this point in time, but it's always entertaining to throw theories/comments down on the table and be able to discuss it.

Let me know what you guys think

It's an interesting question, but we won't last that long. We are an evolutionary dead end.
