Went to a local store. While I was there a car came through the wall into the store. No one was hurt but it was a scare. I was lucky enough to be on the other side of the store when it happened. I thought these things only happened in the movies...

Yup they only happen in the movies.

    But man, some surprise.

Found out yesterday that it was a young driver, talking on a cell phone while driving. No injuries, other than to the hedge, wall, glass, display shelves and merchandise.

And we want to promote the use of cell phones?

I live right by an over pass and this car was coming off the freeway, skidding of the overpass and crashed right into a neighbors house! It got to be a good 20 foot drop. Noone was hurt, they were sleeping on the other part of the house - but boy I bet that woke them up!

    Here's a hollywood-ish story:

A think a year ago this drunk, rich dude was drinking (as drunk, rich dudes do) during a thunderstorm, and bam his house is hit by lightening and catches on fire. So, in a drunken stupor, the bastard gets into his humvee (because the phone lines are out he can't call the fire department) and speeds into the side of a huge house part of a hotel complex. Luckily a cop sees him but can't understand a word he's saying so the guy's house burns down. This happened in my home town. Funny, eh?
