Anyone see it? Anyone know anything about it? It was very green in that all the wood, homes, etc built/used were donated to charity. Lots of trees were planted. 450 bicycles bought for everyone to use. The animals (177 species from all over the world) were trained very well. No bad language. Very funny story. I was just wondering if anyone got a pirate's glance. I probably shouldn't admit I am invested in this movie because then no one from here will go.Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Sandy I probably shouldn't admit I am invested in this movie because then no one from here will go. It looks like it SUCKS! But Sandy I can assure you, that if it looked good...Your opinion wouldn't stop me from going :grumble:
Evan Almighty starts tomorrow. The previews are great. The trailers are great. The reviews are great. I think this may be a good one. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Actually, I think it seems promising...I'll probably go see it. Sandy, why would you think no one from here will go? I treat it like any other fictional comedy I want to go see; if it looks like a good chuckle I'll watch it Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Because when I say I like something, the haters come out en masse to say they hate it. When I dislike something, they support it. I am invested in this movie so I assume my fan club will not be going. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
So you think that ppl here lie and go against something they beleive just because they have to say the opposite of you? I am not going to this movie because I saw the preview, when I went to see another movie and to me it looked like shit. But from what you are saying........If you said it looked like shit and weren't going.......we would go waste our time and money on a movie we don't want to see just to go against you.....
Well, I'm a fair person...your opinion on a movie won't affect my own. I think it looks hilarious. I'm just hoping it's not overhyped is all.
Sounds like you took part in some peculiar "ju-ju" type ritual which invoked the power of Cthulhu or some such to get the thing made... akin to the bit from Lord of the Rings where it states something like " The better part of Sauron's power was invested in the One Ring... " Just what were you up to on ...Those Hollywood nights... in those Hollywood hills... ? LoL That said - sorry, but it's not my cup O' tea. I'm waiting for this to come 'round: http://www.foxsearchlight.com/daywatch/
The reviews are in, the movie is a stinker. "Evan asks people to repent. You might ask for a refund. At least "Speed 2: Cruise Control" is no longer the worst over-budgeted summer sequel to feature a huge boat taking a torturously long time to crash onto land." http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/evan_almighty/
The critics HATED Bruce Almighty and The Passion of the Christ. They are mostly liberals and hate EVERYTHING that has to do with God. Duh...Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! "The message is so good-hearted, so inarguable, so dull." Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! The people who actually saw it and voted on Yahoo gave it a 'B'. http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808723527/user I don't care what the reviews and the critics say. I care about what the general public who saw it think. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
The Passion of the Christ was unnecessarily traumatic in content. Bruce Almighty was so-so; Jim Carrey can get overwhelming. The last good movie I have seen is the Constant Gardner.
Best movie I saw so far this year was Children of Men. My son's girlfriend is taking him to Evan Almighty. I still haven't gotten used to that.
That one has been recommended to me, I may put it on my listPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
