Do we have a knowledgeable England fan here? I need to work out a date and I can only work out this date from an England football match. I have tried to look for all the England fixtures for this date but I can't find them.
The clues I have are:
The game took place in the summer of 1997
England lost
And it was a weekday match
Does anyone know what match this was and what the date it was? The official England site only gives fixtures date to 1998 and no other site seems to help.
