Anyone hear about this? Here's what I've heard:

1.) The kid from Star Wars Episode 1 will play Ender
2.) The movie will be a combination of Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow
3.) Ender's brother and sister won't be involved in politics to make the story more interesting.
4.)Name change for someone whose name starts with B(there a million)

Not only have I heard about this, I even have a link (http://www.frescopictures.com/movies/ender/) to it :D

The latest news however is from Friday, November 1, 2002:

"The director of Ender's Game is Wolfgang Petersen. The studio that is developing it is Warner Brothers. OSC is really happy about both."

" All we'll say is this: Ender is the main character. Bean is also very important and will be a point of view character, too. Both Col. Graff and Mazer Rackham will be major adult roles, and major children's roles will definitely include Petra, Alai, and Bonzo. There will, of course, be many other lesser roles for adults and children.

However, nothing whatsoever will be done about casting or hiring until after the script is finished. The film's release will not be scheduled until the script is fully agreed upon AND the director has finished his next film. I'm weary of a movie version of this. But man battle room sequences? Ye-ah.

Jake Lloyd (is that the damn kid's name?) will hopefully be too old to play Ender by the time the movie is actually made. the oldest he gets in the book is eleven and lil' Anakin should be growing chest hair by now.

The way they have messed up these books and made them into movies... maybe it will be good. Have you heard that they might make a Hyperion Movie? :m:

First off if a moive does come out, then I am definitely not seeing it, movies always or worse then the book, and no movie can protray such a great writing as Enders Game...

+The Ender's Game cliff notes are actually longer then the book, same with the book "Gravities Rainbow"+

I have a How To Write Science Fiction and Fantasy book written by Orson Scott Card, where he talks about an offer for a movie to be made on Ender's Game. I remember him saying that they wanted to change Ender to a teenager, instead of a kid, because it would appeal to a larger audience. Also, Ender's Game is probably the only book in that series that could be made into a movie, because the others have much less action, and more theory, discussion and thought in them. Not that the others are better than Ender's Game.
