Emergency! Help!

    i just found a baby robin egg outside in the grass. im holding it in my hand to keep it warm but its awfully cold. what do i do?

    That egg is so beyond dead.
    Not all bird eggs get fertilized. The mommy bird knows this and pushes it out of the nest to have more room for the good eggs. Considering she did this months ago in the spring.....yeah, its dead. I bet if you break it open nothing is inside it but ice.

    When I find them I put them in our shadow box.

    I think once it gets cold it's game over. You could try to keep it warm and see if it'll hatch, but it'll probably start to stink after a while. Sorry

    but i guess that means i can take it out from under my shirt then lol

    Oh come on!
    You all act as if the robin just laid the egg in the middle of winter! Its an old egg from Spring 2007. Its cold cuz its been below freezing here in MI for a month now.
