Who did it ? whose doing it ? I'm about to do it, although not because the crowd's doing it (although the crowd did get my attention), truly a world event.
Are you being facetious? If so, please leave a clue in your delivery, otherwise you're a fucking killjoy. It's a positive step to get people to realise it's not all that difficult to make a difference, anytime, anywhere by making a simple choice.
I'll do it tonight after the kids have gone to bed. The thought of sitting in the dark with a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old was not a pleasant one. Mental pic of the house catching fire when a candle is knocked off a table, etc.. After balancing the positives and the negatives, we're turning everything off after kids have gone to bed and fallen asleep. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! As it stands, it's 9pm and my 2.5 year old is pressed up against the door trying to 'chat' to us... he's meant to be asleep.:bawl:
I took a walk around, and it was as if it was a ghost town. Like when people go on holidays. Just spookier.
updated 2 hours, 20 minutes ago SYDNEY, Australia - Sydney’s iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge went dark Saturday night as the world’s first major city turned off its lights for this year’s Earth Hour, a global campaign to raise awareness of climate change. The lights on the arch of Harbour Bridge were turned off at 8 p.m., followed shortly by the shells of the Opera House and other city landmarks. Most businesses and homes were already dark as Sydney residents embraced their second annual Earth Hour with candlelight dinners, beach bonfires and even a green-powered outdoor movie. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23856469
Special enough to edit your seven word one-liner twice! Fuck mate! You(')re fucking daft, hmm(?) Whilst pissed as a cricket.
I'm truly surprised. The Jewish people are renowned for their thrift , so I imagine they tun off their low-wattage lights all the time. Israel leads where others follow.
Shit yeah! But to self deprecate for a moment. I just shut down the grid and live by the light shining from my very own clacker!
