Does anybody know of any good drum machine software that sound like the real thing (not like rap or house or trance. Like the real thing - a drumset that you hit with a drumstick to get that sweet sound of a snare or a crash. You got the idea, right?)

Oh, and preferably a freeware drum machine.

    thanks.

there is a software company called propellerheads that has been making music software for some time now. there latest invention is called reason. It is a virtual rack system. it has a drum machine a previously succesful program called rebirth. there are many different kits in this program and you also have the option to import other kits from there web page. It is not freeware. Propellerheads will let you download the demo and try it for free but you can't save any data or songs without purchasing it. unless your ethicly opposed to it you can obtain the cracks from say, Altavista. If you have any other questions, give me a shout. rcbswerv@hotmail.com

I'll back up dub(stole my name) on the propellerhead software. I have rebirth and reason, they are cool.

Also, Fruity loops isn't freeware but its very powerful and easy to use. Making drum loops is a breeze with fruity...
