I can remember about 5-8 years ago, I used to dream about naked girls. but after that long without sex and just downloading porn on the net, I no longer dream about that. Instead, I dream about downloading porn on the net. I dream that I find a great web site with fast bandwidth and great vids... and that seems to be my equivalent.

My question is, is there been some research that has been done about this very issue and what are the results. I've read about "porn creep" but I feel my situation is different has I still feel sexualy attracted to normal girls. Its just the dreams... when the dream rolls in my head, its a wonderfull place, and all - just lke naked girls- but when I wake up amazed at how I could have dreamed about such a thing? Well, what I am mostly curious about is will I start dreaming about naked girls again as I start to have sex with girls? Is there a link between the two?

Now my brain thinks the act of sex is downloading porn on the net because ive been doing it for so long and it forgot that its really with a girl. So thats why i guess I get these dream. If I show my brain what real sex is all about again, do you think the dreams will get back to normal? Maybe it will take a long time? - few years -

Sir, get yourself a girlfriend. That should get your sexdrive back in gear and focused on the right target.
Then you will probably start having dreams about drinking beer and watching the game with your coworkers.

Dreams are not nearly that straightforward. I wouldn't put too much stock in this line of reasoning. Your unconscious uses the images that it finds handy to build stories to tell you while you're dreaming, but those stories are often about something much different than the images at hand.

Look at it this way. Your unconscious mind is trying to connect you with something that's buried at least a little way down, something that is not a part of your everyday life. But the images it has to work with are the ones that ARE part of your everyday life, or at least common enough that they're easy to retrieve accurately.

Confusing enough. And you will probably hear from four other people with four completely different models of how dreams work.
