I've downloaded this dos games fron a website and try to run it on my computer. When i run it all that happens is my monitor become black and nothing happens.. I waited about 2 minutes before I restart my computer.. After that i tried it at my friend's computer and it works without any problems..

My computer : XP Home Edition
Friend's Computer : XP Profesional Ed.

is it because I'm running the Home ed. version that I cannot run the game properly.. and what are the differences between windows XP Home ED. and Pro Ed.

I wouldn't think it was his hardware... he is running XP so he must be running a fairly decent PC.

It appears from another post in here that XP has some comapatabilty problems with dos games and Home version seems to have more than Pro does.
