I copied many and many a 'floppy' back in the day and, lo and behold, the computer age didn't dry up. Software manufacturers are still raking in the dough.
In fact, the open source model is proving to be a contender in the battle between programming styles. The secretive age of software tyrancy may come to an end at some point.

I have been fileshaing" for years. I pay for fast internet connection for fast browsing whether filesharing exists or not.
As for purchasing media. I have not bought a CD, DVD, software since the beginning of 2001. In the time since then, I might have acatually paid for media on barely a handful of occassions. In my entire life as I know it, I have only paid for 3 DVDs. One of them was $1.00 at Wal-Mart. Then I made "back-ups" to sell for $5.00. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
