What are the keys to be able to do large algebraic problems in your head?

Does anyone have anything that could help me do large calculations in my head? A Method? Or Anything?

Do you mean algebraic problems, or arithmetic problems?

Arithmetic is what I meant I just didn't type it. But it would be good to do large algebraic problems too.
