Is a clone baby a human?

View Full Version : Does bible define conception as the definition of human? daktaklakpak 06-11-03, 01:06 PM Is a clone baby a human? okinrus 06-11-03, 02:53 PM The bible pretty much defines "you" in the womb. God tells Jeremiah, "Before I formed you in your mother's womb I knew you". There would be no you if Jerimiah was not a person. Another way to tell is that the hebrews use "woman with child" which depicts the unborn as a child. Is a clone baby a human? We won't know. Did they walk and quack? siledre 06-11-03, 04:52 PM actually I think the question you should ask from the religious perspective is "does a cloned human have a soul" obviously it is human but does conception count when its done outside the womb. daktaklakpak 06-11-03, 05:24 PM Originally posted by EvilPoet Did they walk and quack? I am sure they will if you put in the battery and turn on the switch. :D daktaklakpak 06-11-03, 05:25 PM Originally posted by siledre actually I think the question you should ask from the religious perspective is "does a cloned human have a soul" obviously it is human but does conception count when its done outside the womb. Well, cloning means no conception at all. Not conception outside of womb. EvilPoet 06-11-03, 06:45 PM Adam and Eve were created outside of the womb. Does god only hand out souls while a child is in the womb? Even a clone would have to grow in a woman's womb, we havn't found any alternative to that yet, but do you think that if we came up with a way to grow a human in a jar or something, that God would be fooled? daktaklakpak 06-11-03, 07:39 PM Originally posted by Mystech if we came up with a way to grow a human in a jar or something, that God would be fooled? Hmm.... The Matrix way.... I like it! I mean if we really end up to live like people in the movie Matrix in some near future, what would Jesus do at the 2nd comming? :D What would god do if we, the human, end up being controlled by our own creation, the A.I. machines? |
