If Hezbollah-run media are to be believed, then 35 Israel Defense Forces soldiers were killed or wounded in Ayta a-Shab , militants downed an Israeli helicopter and destroyed a house in which IDF soldiers were hiding, and IDF troops are always hit in the back because they are running away.

...

Hezbollah's reports have become less and less believable in recent days. On Monday, Al-Manar television - the central component of Hezbollah's well-oiled media empire - reported that the organization had destroyed an Israeli ship off the coast of Tyre, which had some 50 sailors aboard - a charge the IDF dismissed completely.

It's not clear what incident, if any, the report was referring to, and the Arab world has been asking questions. Al-Arabiya television asked Mahmoud Kamati, a member of the Hezbollah political bureau, about the Hezbollah claim and he repeated that an Israeli ship had been hit, but said no pictures were broadcast because visibility was poor.

right...

its one thing to 'look strong when you're weak and weak when you're strong' but this is just absurd.

last nite when Israeli commandos stormed a hospital very deep inside Hizballah-country, killed 10 of them and kidnapped 5 more, and then returned safely without a single injury (and this is confirmed by Lebanese sources) to base, during the operation Hizballah sources were saying that the commandos are stuck inside, are surrounded by dozens of Hizballah gunmen, and are desparately shooting in all directions to be alive... and then the truth comes out.

even the Arab press doesn't believe Nasrallah anymore!

They learned much from their association with the Nazi, Dr. Gobles style of broadcasting the new, we are victorious, as the Russians march into Berlin.

are we then to conclude that anything coming out of Hizb's mouth is a lie? i know that psy-ops is a common military practice, and that some matters are classified by the IDF... so to be honest, both sides are not completely truthful

but having said that, IDF is probably more reliable for actual events.
anyone, on either side, is better off listening to Israeli spokespeople if they want to hear more factual reports

i've read responses Arab readers leave on Israeli news sites, and they all go something along the lines of "haha IDF is not telling you the truth... Hizb is a ghost.. you cant fight a ghost - Hizb abducted 5 soldiers and your newspapers lie to you"
they seem so sure...

it is sad that these people believe Hizb because this sort of propadanda encourages Hizb to fight and inevitably produces more fatalities for Hizb fighters and population centers around it

I just read a report that the Australian Government is worried because a few of its citizens have left to go and fight for Hezbollah... I guess Foley wasn't one of them cause he's still here :p

Quite worrisome indeed.

Thats one of my problems with Multiculturalism... When situations like this arise, it polarises people to the point where we see violance within the community. A community thousands of miles from the actual conflict. We've seen a couple of synagogues defaced and a few Hasidic jews beaten up. Quite worrisome

 what do u mean Khassids were beaten up??? :(

dont forget about the "race" riots (translation from PC-speak: "Muslim riots") in Australia

hey, maybe this war would be an opportunity for Australia to cleanse itself from terrorist elements... the most extreme sheet-heads will go to Lebanon and get killed by the IDF, which will make Australia (and the Khassids in it) to be safer
