Hey, sorry to bother all of you, but i was wondering if anyone could help me?

I am really desperate to read up on a theory/concept, but i don't know the title of it.

I came across the theory whilst studying the famly, it was closely linked to R.D Laing's work which commented that the family was destructive and had a negative effect on the individual.

The theory/concept i am looking for basically stated that the youngest daugther within a family setting is more likely to be scapedgoated in regards to family problems and disputes.

Does anyone know the name/title of this concept/theory?? Thanks

I study sociology, so Laing was just mentioned briefly as a criticism of the functionalist perspective of the family.

No, i haven't seen this documentary, wouldn't mind watching it though. I never have studied Psychology, do you think it would be easy for me to follow?
