Down bottom right any page on SciForums...it says portions copyrighted by Dave Watanabe, guessing that's Porfiry...anyway it probably said this when we first signed up, but I didn't read too in-depth.
Does he legally own all the ideas, theories, conspiracies, accusations, personal slander, and jokes (what few original ones that are here)?

It says "Portions Copyright © 1996-2002 David Watanabe". That pertains to the layout, logo, and graphics. I have no desire to 'own' any of the content produced by users. And I'm pretty sure there's no legal argument for me to claim ownership, not that I would ever try.

That I can edit and delete posts does not imply ownership. That you are using sciforums does imply a certain relationship between your thoughts and my site, namely that I can display your thoughts on my site without any particular recompense. But this is not a transfer of ownership.
Really, there's no need to be paranoid.

In certain respects, Porfiry you could use a copyright to help protect anyones posts or thoughts as a third party.
This means if I say something and someone stole it word for word (like an idea) Porfiry's database might be the only way not just to prove it was my "idea" in the firstplace but it was also copyrighted far in advance of being stolen.
