View Full Version : Does Mr. G ever saying anything meaningful?

Or anything on topic?

I was just thinking yesterday that we have thrown away the 'intelligent' standard on sciforums. I'm quite well aware that we are not scientists here and most people do not have a scientific background but there has been a bloom or moronic members. That would have been ok if they desired to learn something, however, they merely seem to want to spread their moronic views.

Maybe the time has come to put the foot down since the whole thing seems to attract human waste.

Like ignoring them.

It only works when everybody ignores them.

In the old says (sciforums' glory days) we had moderators like goofyfish who would send a PM to you after you posted an answer to a troll saying:

"don't feed the troll"

Which was pretty much the end of the troll.

The problem lies in the fact the the small immigration of racists has led to a large influx of racists. A small injection of trolls has led to an invasion of trolls.

Ignoring it will not change this.

He's like this guy in an Onion Point/Counterpoint.

This War Will Destabilize The Entire Mideast Region And Set Off A Global Shockwave Of Anti-Americanism vs. No it won't

No it won't.

It just won't. None of that will happen.

You're getting worked up over nothing. Everything is going to be fine. So just relax, okay? You're really overreacting.

"This war will not put an end to anti-Americanism; it will fan the flames of hatred even higher"?

It won't.

"It will harden the resolve of Arab states to drive out all Western (i.e. U.S.) influence"?

Not really.

"A war against Iraq is not only morally wrong, it will be an unmitigated disaster"?

Sorry, no, I disagree.

"To take over a country and impose one's own system of government without regard for the people of that country is the very antithesis of democracy"?

You are completely wrong.

Trust me, it's all going to work out perfect. Nothing bad is going to happen. It's all under control.

Why do you keep saying these things? I can tell when there's trouble looming, and I really don't sense that right now. We're in control of this situation, and we know what we're doing. So stop being so pessimistic.

Look, you've been proven wrong, so stop talking. You've had your say already. Be quiet, okay? Everything's fine.

You're wrong.

If you want to be the most popular person in your class, whenever the professor pauses in his lecture, just let out a big snort and say "How do you figger that!" real loud. Then lean back and sort of smirk. - Jack Handey

That's the essence of the shitposter known as Mr.G.

I'd say that there is no 'bloom' of moronic members.
Rather, there is a dearth of erudite members.

RedArmy,

Dearth (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=dearth).

Erudite (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=erudite).

However, I'm sure you are erudite enough to already know this and are therefore making some sort of sarcastic remark?

Or you're just being noumenal.

Geoff,

Note the definition of dearth applies to scarcity not utter absence.

what i was refuting was that you said he understood members better than they understood themselves.
a logical fallacy, given that there is no way somebody can understand a person merely through seeing their writing on a forum like this.
do you honestly think half of these people are this obnoxious in their daily lives?

Interesting tactic, you state what in your imagination is easily understood by you, since it is within your imagination. Then, you go on to assume others can easily understand what is in your imagination.

And when you find that clarification is asked when your imagination is not automatically understood, you assume a position of hauteur, wondering how in the world could anyone not understand you.

Curious...

A sort of 'dine and dash' attitude.
