View Full Version : Does Bhutto deserve what she gets? Why? 11-09-07, 12:54 PM After all, no one asked her to return to Pakistan. Nikelodeon 11-09-07, 12:54 PM no one? Why? 11-09-07, 01:00 PM Not me. Not Mussharef. Nikelodeon 11-09-07, 01:00 PM And those are the only two who matter. countezero 11-09-07, 01:04 PM Regardless of what one thinks of her or her foil (the general/dictator), her return has seemingly unleashed a host of unwanted forces. Why? 11-09-07, 01:14 PM Good point. And doesn't Pakistan have the Bomb? Stupid bitch could end up distablizing the country. maxg 11-09-07, 01:34 PM "If there were in the world today any large number of people who desired their own happiness more than they desired the unhappiness of others, we could have paradise in a few years." -Bertrand Russell (1872 - 1970) Why? 11-09-07, 01:36 PM Bertrand Russell is an idiot. cosmictraveler 11-09-07, 01:36 PM Good point. And doesn't Pakistan have the Bomb? Stupid bitch could end up distablizing the country. I guess that you don't understand that it is already destabilized. The Teleban have already taken two different cities there. Why? 11-09-07, 01:53 PM The Taliban are weak. cosmictraveler 11-09-07, 01:54 PM The Taliban are weak. But they kill you! shichimenshyo 11-09-07, 01:54 PM The Taliban are weak. then why do we fear them so much in America? cosmictraveler 11-09-07, 01:56 PM then why do we fear them so much in America? America doesn't fear anyone but the Al Quida are pesky terrorists trying to disturb the peace everywhere. shichimenshyo 11-09-07, 01:57 PM America doesn't fear anyone but the Al Quida are pesky terrorists trying to disturb the peace everywhere. Thats why we must bomb everyone to save the peace! Why? 11-09-07, 02:06 PM American does not fear the Taliban. We are just using them as target practice. cosmictraveler 11-09-07, 02:13 PM American does not fear the Taliban. We are just using them as target practice. If we don't support the forces yearning for Democracy and constitutional law in Pakistan, then we are a bunch of hypocrites. countezero 11-09-07, 05:38 PM What forces are yearning for Democracy? The ones backing Bhutto, a disgraced PM who fled the country under charges of corruption? Or would you be talking about the Islamic extremists (and their party, Q) who tried to blow her up because she is a woman and not a fundamentalist? You certainly can't be talking about the dictator in his uniform, can you? There are no simple answers in the ME, Spider. So stop offering simplistic solutions... spidergoat 11-09-07, 05:42 PM Yes, the ones backing Bhutto, the educated, the moderates, the lawyers and judges. I don't know alot about her, but I suspect those charges were fabricated. Besides, she has made it clear she is not protesting for herself, but for the rule of law. I know there are no simple answers, Musharaf has been our ally, my point is that spreading Democracy is obviously not one of our goals, in spite of being a popular Republican talking point. Nikelodeon 01-15-08, 02:53 PM Bertrand Russell is an idiot. I always thought so. |
