View Full Version : Do you use your feet like hands?
notPresidentAndrew 01-25-03, 02:21 PM Every now and then there will be something on the floor that I need and I just use my feet to pick it up because I don't feel like bending down and getting back up. Just now I used my feet to straighten out a rug. Do you ever use your feet like this?
I saw a Dateline (or one of those newsmagazines) special about a women who always had to use her feet as hands because she had no arms. And certain primates do this, as well.
yes, yes, I do.
I use my feet to lift things from time to time.
things like a sock or a tissue or a pencil

You seat within the shadows waiting and wait endlessly for your intellectual challenge in keeping us all amused. Opportunist!

spacemanspiff 01-25-03, 08:46 PM I've used my feet to play video games. That way i play 1P with my hands and 2P with my feet. It actually works out well... sometimes.

After having read the Insulting Susan thread, I am assuming that you also type with your feet.
HarmonyStar 01-31-03, 03:59 AM Does one ever find themselves running a bath and then using their feet to turn off the taps?
If so, you are aquadextrous :o :D :o oh hahaha i am soooo funny:bugeye:
I use my feet for just about everything, except writing. THe occasional itch behind the ear, feeding myself, laundry. Everything.
Blindman 05-03-03, 09:18 AM I once meet a keyboard player without arms.
I, being a fully able person, who has played the keyboards for the last 10 years, was totally humbled by his ability. He could write and draw, even roll a cigarette.
I, being a little drunk, had to ask.
Can you masturbate?
Sadly he said no..
Yea i use my feet for tons of stuff too, not every thing mind you, but tons of stuff. I'm 6'4" and the floor is kinda far away its just easier for me to use my feet :D
freefighter187 05-04-03, 12:30 AM i use my feet to beat the crap out of people and practically evrything else. Its good training for beating the crap out of people.
Redoubtable 05-04-03, 08:06 PM I invariably use my feet in the retrieval of garments, pencils, papers, and other objects that would have otherwise required that I bend over or squat .
machaon 05-08-03, 03:16 PM Having opposible big toes has landed me many dishwashing jobs.
But seriously, there was a story in the local news about a six year old boy whose arm was severed in an unfortunate lawn mower accident. They 6:00 news later did a piece on him and they showed him playing video games using one of his feet to operate the controller. So, I guess it really does not take long to develope the skill of using ones feet to preform complex task.
man_of_jade 05-09-03, 12:48 PM If I need to I can. I played a fps against my friend, and beat him. Considering that he was in a tank and i wasnt, i think thats pretty good :D

DouBTlessWonDer 05-11-03, 04:16 PM when my arms are full, i use my feet to turn the doorknob and i can open the doors. i also use them to pick things up. it's soo much easier. a true gift to lazy people:)
lokoalien 05-15-03, 11:17 AM Yes, Actually once I performed a rather impressive feat(he he). It was a while ago, after I broke my ankle. I was on crutches with one leg in a cast. I wanted to pickup a shirt off of the floor. I stepped on the shirt with my good leg, grabbed it with my toes, balanced myself completely on the 2 crutches and flung the shirt behind me and over my head. As the shirt went up, I quickly put my foot down, shifted my weight off of the crutches, put out one of my hands, and caught the shirt.
DouBTlessWonDer 05-15-03, 06:02 PM That's very impressive, that would be a sight to see.. :D
lokoalien 05-15-03, 09:36 PM Yes, Unfortunately though I could not repeat it. I could not get the aim right. :(
On a side note, I have found if I do something without thinking about it it too much I can do amazing things. Then I go.. ..WoW that was neat, I think I'll do it again, and I become a complete kluzt. guess my autopilot is better than my pilot. :D
cyberat 08-18-03, 06:27 PM Do you use your feet as hands?
