I dont care,cos while this country has a king or queen(or both) we dont run the risk of a evil dictator,the government is fairly independent but it could go nuts,not while we have a monarchy though. Once we have no monarchy,thats when we are open to infection.
i think ben nevis has raised the most important question even more so than this thread's topic. This could easily be merged with the other royal family thread and no to answer your question; he wont make a good king because there isnt such a thing.
doom, the English monarchy is completely impotent politically. It couldn't prevent an "evil" dictator coming to power so whilst queen liz has got her ass on the throne, the likes of the BNP will be prevented from coming to power??...I don't think so.

The British royal family doesn't really do anything or have any real power, so how good or bad a king William ends up being is irrelevant. How do you do nothing poorly?
oh you of so little knowledge and such minor intelligence. The entire British Armed Forces have sworn an oath of allegiance to the sovereign. The King or Queen would simply have to say the magic words to end the hopes of any evil dictator, OFF WITH HIS HEAD. No British government has the loyalty of the armed forces, that is reserved for the crown. The Kings Regiment, The Queens Regiment, The Royal Tank Regiment, The Royal Artillery, The Royal Scots, Do I need to go on?. you would be suprised at the power the sovereign commands.That is why a coup is all but impossible in the UK, no political party has or will ever have the support of the armed forces. The next head of state will be King Charles III, we don't choose our King or Queen based on a popularity poll.
