"Chuck [Schuldiner] is to us what Jesus is to Christians." http://metaltabs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16361&page=3 Hmm. Something about this leaves me... queasy...
Sometimes people care more about musicians that they don't even know, more then they care about their friends or family. I don't know why.
` How could you worship 'em... ? Most of 'em seem kinda dumb, apart from the one area. I appreciate creativity & craftsmanship, but it seems to me you'd have to have quite a dearth of anything meaningful going on in your life to take it to the level of elevating them to demigod status. .
ja i think history might show these fuckers to be quite flawed. perhaps more so than the general population art generally flourishes under stressful conditions perhaps tho, that is just conventional wisdom
Sometimes musicians are thought to be something more than just a "celebrity". Sometimes there music connects to you in a way that it makes it seen like a certain song was written at the exact moment when you were going through somthing similar in life. Theres a strong connection between music and life, I can hear certain songs and it automatically takes my mind to a certain time in my life, good or bad. Most people I know are like this as well, thus the wedding songs or even songs played in funerals. Of course, much like many other aspects of life, there are people who become obssesed with something, sometimes its religion, sometimes its work other times its musicians. With that said..... No, I dont worship musicians but I can see why some people would.
