Hi all!!!

I am a Software Engineer from India.

I happened to watch a movie in which it was depicted that one can see through others clothes. Is it really possible? if so how? I am tech saavvy and often wonder how does this happen

Hi,

All depends on what you mean by see-through. I'm guessing you saw a James Bond movie or something that easily shows a color image figure under clothing. Sorry, it's not that simple. You CAN see body heat with infrared detectors. That shows color differences of anything the person has one like a cooler gun that shows easily against a warm body. Millimeter wave radar can see through clothing and produce a rather detailed underlying image. But the setup is stationary and you have to stand in place for a few seconds. There's nothing I know of that lets you see through clothes that fits into a pair of sunglasses or anything.

Weclome abdulla,

Yes you can see through cloths at very low IR or terahertz light frequencies, though these would not be glasses but a large and very expensive state-of-art camera.

Well, with you being tech savvy and all I guess you know that just glasses can't do that. It's a trick.

I believe a long time ago, almost two years ago, in fact, I had a discussion here on this very topic. I think cameras with night vision have a partial see through ability under special conditions, but they make a lense that greatly enhances that ability. Not sure on any specifics, however.

Bebelina,

You mean for seeing this http://www.guru3d.com/forum/images/smilies/smileybreasts.gif right?

I have hear that there is a filter you can get for High frequency IR cameras that would allow you to see through a swimsuit :D

I believe you and its development was surely sponsored by paparazzis too.
