I tried to post a thread with the title ""People are miserable because they want to be miserable" - true or false?" - and it wouldn't go through. I tried several times. I posted another thread with another title, and that one went through fine. I tried again with the above title - no go. It seems that the phrase "true or false" must not be in the thread title. (I changed it to ""People are miserable because they want to be miserable" - T or F?", and it worked.) EDIT: And as I wanted to post this very thread, I discovered that the phrases "post-new-thread", "posting new thread" and "creating new thread" also seem to block the system.
Try here for possible help. http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=107559 There's a lot of things it "won't accept" as a title. Personally I suspect that it's as "simple" as whatever you type in first being rejected for some reason or other.
It's likely to do with the Gzip module on the server, if Plazma was to turn it off and test the "google state search" titled thread creation, he'd likely find it would go through. If not then it's possibly down to the Urchin tracker which I am currently attempting to diagnose if it is or isn't responsible. (I've just got to output the _uOno and _uRno arrays to see if they are populated with keywords or domains that are "Ignored".
Yeah! I still run into that problem. It's always something about the title that it doesn't like. I just start modifying the title until it gets accepted. 3 modifications is the most I've ever had to make before getting a new post to be accepted.
