This article is fascinating. A toy maker and a chemist have created bubbles that have beautiful colours, and disappear when the bubble pops. It's a really interesting article about their path.

I find some of applications of this chemistry to be a little strange, but think about being able to mark surgery lines without permanance. Or a secure document that simply fades away. It's stunning to think how it might be applied.

I thought we had this technology a while back ago (disappearing ink). Although I have never heard of it being used in bubbles.

I'm not really sure about its implications though. They seem to be short and few compared to what's enabled by, say, the Internet!
