i am interested in any of you who have tried a method of detoxification. the results, your recommendations, etc. this is for impurities only. i do not use drugs so please do not confuse this with trying to pass a piss test.

Detoxification of what? Do you mean to cleanse your body of toxins?
They sell herbal kits you use for 14 days for that.

Chelation

In medicine

Antibiotic drugs of the tetracycline family are chelators of Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions. Chelation therapy describes the use of chelating agents to detoxify poisonous metal agents such as mercury, arsenic, and lead by converting them to a chemically inert form that can be excreted without further interaction with the body. Chelation is also used as an unscientific treatment for autism or other conditions. There are no published peer review publications regarding the efficacy of chelation agents for the treatment of autism.[7]

EDTA chelation can be a dangerous practice, especially when Na2EDTA is prescribed rather than CaEDTA. The CDC reports that use of Na2EDTA has resulted in fatalities due to hypocalcemia.[8]

EDTA is also used in root canal treatment as a way to irrigate the canal. EDTA is used as a chelating agent to either soften the dentin facilitating access to the entire canal length and to remove the smear layer formed during instrumentation.

I thought salt made you retain water.

Probably not. I would suggest you consult your doctor before partaking on such a venture.

By eating it in solid form ?
What kind of detox do you mean ? You mean like when you've eaten something toxic and you need to get it out of your stomach ?
Salt is toxic to the human body in large amounts. If you eat something like two table spoons of salt you will puke, if not you'll die.

Fasting is the best form of detoxification practiced for a long long time. Fasting renews the stomach lining and removes the imputities because the body has time to attend to those activities when you are not overloading it with food. Water taken during this (add some sea salt for electrolyte balance) will help get rid of toxins.

However certain poisons like herbicides and pesticides may not be removed by this process or any chelation therapy. For that you need professional help or do some serious research. Anyone that has ideas for such chemicals, please do post here. One of my friend got colorectal cancer from the exposure to this and my neighbour got breast cancer from exposure to Chemlawn chemicals

just bought a detox kit. will have to let you know how it goes. its a 30 day run so hopefully it works. sounds like you do experience pains, etc. during the time due to the toxins being released. some people become miserable due to the adjustments your body is going through. will plan on drinking plenty of water to help flush.

i was only kidding about the salt.

I had toxic conditions several years ago which was diagnosed with Iridology. If you look at this page and scroll down to the pic labeled Radii Solaris you can see what a typical toxic digestion condition looks like as reflected in the iris.

http://irimeta.com/irimeta/irimeta-iridology-conditions-to-consider.asp

I had a textbook example which disappeared after several months of abstaining from the food source causing it.

There is another whole body toxic condition called Miasm typical of drug users which looks quite different.

In serious cases bowel detoxification is performed with colonic irrigations.

Dietary Supplement Can Turn the Skin Permanently Blue

Submitted by News Account on 23 July 2007 - 11:00pm. Pharmacology Colloidal silver is peddled as a cold medicine, decongestant, all-around germ fighter, and a kind of cure-all. Is there any legitimate reason for taking the dietary supplement? The short answer is no, and there may be some serious and strange side effects, reports the August 2007 issue of the Harvard Health Letter.

Silver has several uses in conventional medicine. Silver sulfadiazine is used to treat serious burns. Fabric impregnated with silver is sometimes used as a dressing for wounds or skin infections. And silver nitrate is occasionally used to treat warts and corns.

But there’s no proof that taking colloidal silver by mouth has any benefits. As for harm, brain and nerve damage from silver exposure is rare, but colloidal silver can cause kidney damage, stomach distress, and headaches.

The most common problem associated with silver exposure is argyria: The skin turns a bluish gray as granules of silver accumulate in the body. The conjunctiva (the membrane that covers the eyes) and internal organs may also be affected. Once silver is deposited, there’s no way to get it out, so the discoloration may be permanent.

Will the colloidal silver products currently on the market turn you blue? The Harvard Health Letter says if you use them for a short time and in recommended amounts, probably not. But some people overdo it. For example, a 59-year-old man was sent to the emergency room because he looked cyanotic—the bluish color that indicates you’re not getting enough oxygen. It turned out he’d been taking a homemade version of colloidal silver whenever he felt a cold coming on.
