I'm using an A/B switch to share monitor/keyboard etc. between two computers right now, but I've run into a problem. After setting everything up my display quality has dramatically deteriorated, regardless of which computer is active or what their resolutions are. I've tried different cables but it hasn't helped.

There's got to be a way to fix this. Has anyone ever run into this before?

have you tried lower resolutions and frequency ?. has it worked before at your current setting?

perhaps your switch suck and can only handle 60Hz, or your monitor could be crap and cannot handle below 70Hz
