I went to see him live this week, very good show. Has anyone else been to see it? I think I have good idea on most of his tricks but I wanted to talk about 2 of them that I'm not sure on.
Do you think he really hypnotizes people or does he use plants in the audience. I've seen some of his stuff on youtube and he's either a great hypnotist or a terrific con artist.
I am sure he uses lot of it is hypno. He did a very clever trick where he got a lady from the audience and away from the mic he explained to her a trick to help her guess cards. She then did the trick reasonably well, much better than chance as well as a few other impressive things. He then touched her on the forehead and said go to sleep and she did. Everyone was amazed that he could hypno her just like that. Anyway he then went on to tell her not to remember how the trick was done and sent her back to her seat. The day after the show I worked out what had really happened. Instead of him tell her how to do his trick he was hypno'ing her right in front of us without us knowing. So he must have told her which cards to guess etc and then when we did see him hypno her and telling her to forget, it was really to forget that she had been hypno'ed. The trick was more advanced than this but he did it so well that I would say most people would never know what really happened. As simple as this sounds to work out he did so much misdirection that it was one of the hardest to workout. I don't think he uses plants as you can work out most of the tricks. Its a great show, 2 hours of very good entertainment and then a couple of days trying to workout how he did it, great value for money.
