I think dental floss is overrated, whats wrong with a good old fashion toothpick?

I find them hard to use properly, because i don't have any. Regular dental floss string is also hard to use, i mean standing there with all 10 finger crammed in your mouth trying to get the string to go where you want it, its basically mission impossible.

now ressently(sp!) i bought some of thees here (http://www.aub.dk/~maddog/PICT0360.JPG) and they are simply the best, I finally have some thing with which i can remove what ever it is that always get stuck between the 2 teeth behind my up left corner tooth.

You have to sort of wrap it around your thumb - the other fingers are just for adjusting tension.

I read that flossing widens the gap between your teeth, getting more gunk in there. So you floss more and more, and soon the floss companies get rich.

hmm maybe i should floss more, the top of the teets in mention are very close together making it hard to get the thread down between them, but with the thing in the link i posted it suddenly became easy. Oh and they are great for chewing as well.

I'm useless with floss, but I always have use toothpicks after almost every meal. For proper teeth cleaning they make a special floss brush that you just jam between your teeth and push in and out, but I can't be bothered to use mine.

Yeah, I use floss picks as well. Too hard to use and reach the rear teeth otherwise with normal floss.
