Do old accounts that have zero posts ever get deleted? I see a lot of names get registered all the time but will never see a post from them.

    Once in a while.

Around 4,000+ unused accounts were purged 1 or 2 years ago.

Would they do the same for some guy who made 200 posts 4 years ago and that was his last?

How about 1 post? Or is it that they want to archieve every post on this board for historical reasons? I guess I could see that happening. No one cares about the guy who signed up and posted nothing.

I guess so but even those with atleast one post didn't make the cut.

Lot of very old posters suddenly return...i.e Bowser.

    Yes.

Since my return on 05-16-06, I have made 501 posts (my current as of posting this is 1315). So, I average 45.55 posts per day. So I came back starting with 814 posts.

    OMFG wow. wtf?

Well I generally post at night because all my friends are lame asshats that sleep.. so I am left to my books, CS, and SF

I feel this is going to dramatically slow down because I am quickly running out of things to say and I am tired or arguing about free-will. Now it seems the debate is finite and infinite quantities with Truthseeker... I had a similar "debate" with fraggle rocker about it, though it was about countability of real numbers.. and off topic spin off of the thread about what comes after trillion.

    Ramble ramble ramble...

I also do most of my posting between midnight and 6am or so, but I've never posted 40 times in one night! You're giving ToR and leopold some serious competition (they're both at around 20 posts/day). Keep it up, and in under a year you'll be matching Spurious' and Avatar's posts counts.

And you were thinking of hacking SF's database to triple your post count?

Oh yea, it's a great idea! Good thing the mods do not know and that Dave cannot find out. hehe.

That would be pretty sad. "Oh look, I am an uber post whore.. my post count is 130+ a day!"

I do not even think I could possibly do that.. there just is not enough worthwhile to reply to on SF.. at least to me anyway. Maybe one day I will educate myself in biology and psuedoscience. Wait, I don't need to educate myself in psuedoscience.. I can just post nonsense and claim it's true

And besides, anything over 15 per day is pretty pathetic. Sorry ToR and leopold.. and to myself

Oh my god I am half way through it and I am laughing my ass off. OCD? maybe... but to me, I find this forum a relief. I always want to carry a peice of paper with me an a pen to write down thoughts, but I never do.. so I lose them. When I come home from whatever I am doing (work, school, drinking, :m:, ect) I can spill all the remaining thoughts that come to my head. It's great, almost like a drug. I am actually finding myself more fluid-like in my speech after being back for only 11 days. It's great.

You'll find that difficult. Everytime I log on here you're name is on half the most recent thread replies. Guess that makes you omnipresent

I noticed that yesterday. It was in the middle of the afternoon and I thought people would be posting stuff.. college students out for summer, those at work with net connections, or just lazy people. But no, it was just me. And for nearly 3-4 hours my name was on about half the posts.

Today I was working (making money.. yay) so that would explain my absence.

Seems replying to you is also boosting my own post count. This is my 12th today. I think I'll also have to make it my last - I have to study for a chemistry exam tomorrow
