I feel it is damn right rude to delete posts and threads without any warning or explanation (alot worse than locking them). We’re all grown ups here, we all take full responsibility for what we post, can’t the moderators appreciate that? This forum will end up with just its moderators posting, it is beyond a joke now.

What's damn rude is some of the posters on this forum and when they get going moderators have to clean up their mess like they were reliving their childhood and soiled their diaper.

I don't just delete posts or threads normally, but in the instance of the brewing flamewar it was the only thing to do. In essence read the forum rules, The Moderators and Administration don't have to explain everything they do or warn anyone. (Incidentally, it wasn't your thread so why should you care? I mean you wouldn't exactly be warned would you?)

I'm surprised that I'm this bothered by a poster leaving a internet forum so much.

It's like your favorite art gallery going out of business and getting replaced...by, well, a walmart, to use peta9's analogy. Quite bothersome.

A better analogy might actually be a painting you like getting removed from that art gallery. Once I briefly took down Les Noisettes from my bedroom wall and it managed to put me in a dark mood. Similar to peta9's leaving, b/c she was something I also passively enjoyed. :@
