I am getting so sick of this shit. Every time I start to like some new show, it gets fucking canceled! Was anyone else around here watching Defying Gravity? It was a SciFi show on ABC. It was a bit slow, but the cocksuckers ended it just as the big secret the series had been building up to all season was about to be revealed! Seriously. There's this "beta" object of apparently alien origin and in the last episode they found it, opened the door, and were about to step in when the episode ended. There were supposed to be two or three more, and they've already been shot, but the network decided to shitcan it early.

Fortunately, I found out that the next episode aired in Canada and I watched it on my computer. I hope SciFi picks it up, it has potential and they don't have much else going on right now. In case you're interested, here is the link to watch the show via the Canadian network.

    Hey mad,

Yeah, I've been digging this show from the start. You're right, it does tend to plod along at a relatively slow pace, but despite that it was intriguing. There seems to be much confusion about the show's status. I heard it was canceled, then it wasn't, then it was, and now...???
I watched Ep 9 this past Fri. As for the remaining 3 eps, I have no idea.

From what I've heard, the link in the OP should be good for the rest of the episodes as the show hasn't been canceled in Canada. I've also heard that it's not officially cancelled yet, ABC just decided to move it somewhere (they haven't decided where).

Also, the show is apparently not being produced by ABC. So there's still hope that some other US network could pick it up. SciFi would be perfect. Look at their success with StarGate, which also started somewhere else.

Usually television companies have a set budget for their seasons, they try to stretch it as far as they can but should something they are use to cost a little extra then they have to can purchasing the licence for a season to get the funds up.

It doesn't necessarily mean they will never show the remaining episodes of a season or series, just they will do it when they get their funds back up and if of course the audience that watches their channel is good enough to inform them how important that show was to them.
