Here's my two cents. The anti-tony1 club should grow up, and in addition, so too should tony1. I dont take him seriously anymore, but, I humor him. Its mutual respect, and even though I get next to none back, I'll continue to do so cause its the right thing. You're just sinking to his level by acting that way, like little kids.

But hey, lets look on the bright side of things. Tony1 never fails to give me a laugh with his twisted beliefs.:D

I have taken it up with him, in the form of an ignore. The only reason I was "taking shots at him" was because that's all he's been doing for the past month.

It is a sad day indeed. I have finally put the raving and ranting of tony1 to the ignore list. It will remain so. While I prefer to learn, even from tony1, I can no longer read such content where it is evident that the poster does not care to debate an issue but rather see it one-sided. He has blithely ignored all attempts at reasonable debate that I have seen. Understand that I do not hold ill will towards tony1 but rather that I see it as fruitless to try and gain knowledge from one so obliviously reconciled to be irritating. When you read this tony1, as many people before have mentioned, how can you profess to do god's work by driving those who would be the converts away from such knowledge? To say that all have these demons that you perceive to be so prevalent makes your world a very sad one indeed. To profess that children are condemned before they can even reason to make a choice for the lord is yet another way you show your world to be so poor. No, you are no more protected than the next. By your very actions and speech you are not the Christian you profess to be. Have a good life tony1, for it will be without my viewing.

And if you have monitored our threads you would have seen tht everyone has tried to talk to tony with respect and reason, but he responded with idiotic bible quotes and said tht everyone was wrong without givinga any good proof for it.

You have obviously not gotten into a "discussion" with tony yet, so I'd ask you not to jump to conclusions. Of course, he won't argue with you as he does atheists, simply because you are on his side. Needless to say, what he does is anything but discuss. All he does is slam other people and their ideas if they don't believe in God.

I have shown him respect, and he has returned the opposite. Numerous times I have tried to engage in constructive discussions with him, and he has turned them into arguements over trivialities such as word choice. When I first joined this board, I had equal respect for everyone. Since then, my respect for some has grown (such as James R., Jan, Taken and others) but for some it has dwindled, such as tony1. Since I joined, tony1 has lost all of my respect for him, which is why he's ignored.

I ask you again, to read some of the discussions people are trying to have with him, and maybe try to start one on your own. I think you'll be disappointed.

Actually, come to think of it, tony1 is really the only person that has lost a fair chunk of my respect (in this case, all of it). There are others whom I will not list that have not exactly added to my respect for them, but that list is small.

It is not a matter of right or wrong. We speak of his underhanded tactics. He will not respond to your argument, but rather prefers to quote out of context. I defend his right to free speach. He may know that noone will take him seriously until he says something of substance, however.

Tony is always wrong

I dont think that I'm part of the anti-tony parade, though I was much into the Tony-bashing one! nothing personal, just having some fun really!, one thing I once told tony is not to take everything that I may say here to seriously cause if we knew each other on a personal level we may be good friends despite our differences. I don't judge him by his beliefs, I admire his convictions though they may be thwarted, or pointless to us, nevertheless convictions they are his beliefs and he is strong in mind to his assertions and beliefs. Many here can't say the same.
