Any dog can attack someone if the dog isn't trained or handled correctly.

No they are dangerous. Dog breeds have spmewhat distinct personalities, Rottweilers should be breeded out because they serve no purpose.

I actually kind of agree with you, they're not even good as guard dogs because they're pussies(punche on in the nose, and you'l never see it again). Of course, some people like them because they're intimidating.

I'd say they're more aggressive by nature, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're more dangerous. Any dog can be trained, Rottweilers will need more training than an average dog to overcome its aggressive tendancies, but that doesn't mean they're hopeless. Just that most people don't take the time to put in the effort required.

The problem is not always training, they are not exactly smart dogs either. When they maul someone we lock them up like fugitives- 'bad dog, bad'. What imbeciles, as if they understand what happened, we should have trials for them also.

All dogs should be fucking killed. All they do is bark any time someone passes, chase after delivery people, attack people, shit on the street, stink, eat shit, the list goes on. In this modern age we really have absolutely no use for them that outweighs the nuisance they cause.

Rotweillers were bred as guard dogs, and they do the job well. I have known them to be brave, loyal, and affectionate. Unfortunately, people raise them wrong, in environments that lead to adverse behavior. I don't think it's the dog's fault entirely.

Pitbulls, on the other hand, were bred to be aggressive and fight other dogs.

It's hard not to believe that rotweillers and pitbulls are naturally more aggressive than other dogs. That being said, they aren't the only dogs who are responsible for killing people, although they do seem to attract the most attention.

I had a female pitbull before, and did a pretty good job trying to raise her. The little bastard still loved attacking people, though.

There are more bites from stray dogs of various breeds than by Rotties. It isn't the dog, its the human that must train and love their pets or any dog can become an attacking one.

    No, it IS the dog.

Just because the training of a human can restrain its urge to bite children's faces off doesn't mean the dog isn't at heart a vicious, stupid beast with absolutely no understanding or appreciation of the society which is the only reason it wasn't wiped out with all the other dangerous predators.

WASHINGTON - People who own vicious dogs such as pit bulls have significantly more criminal convictions — including crimes against children — than owners of licensed, gentler dogs such as beagles, researchers reported on Thursday.

A study of 355 dog owners in Ohio showed that every owner of a high-risk breed known for aggression had at least one brush with the law, from traffic citations to serious criminal convictions.

And 30 percent of people who owned an aggressive breed of dog and who also had been cited at least once for failure to register it had at least five criminal convictions or traffic citations.

Beginning Saturday, the owner of a dog that kills or seriously injures someone could go to prison under a new Texas law.

Enacted by the Legislature this year in response to the fatal mauling of an elderly woman, the law makes it easier to prosecute dog owners and provides for some of the nation's stiffest dog-bite penalties.

Its felony offense adds some sting to laws that can be difficult to enforce, easy to disregard and more often punish dogs instead of the people responsible for them.

Supporters hope the tougher terms catch dog owners' attention and reduce the number and severity of attacks.

Targeting a loyal breed of dog for simply existing is barbaric and sub-human. Shame on anyone who supports BSL.

All Rottys are potential killers, much like all men are potential rapists. Or so nanny states would have you believe, right before they invade your property and take your best friend away for execution.

A dog bit is different than being mauled to death. There are only a few breed who do this. I know i would not miss them if they were gone.

Dalmations really are nasty dogs to begin with, dont be fooled when they are young. Best large dog with humans is German Shephard, second is those big fat smelly dogs (cant remember their name).
