It's intended to mock the conspiracy theory of the liberal media.

One may argue that the media actually has a conservative bias; indeed, my pictures appear to indicate such in at least two newspapers. But I'm reserving this judgment for when there's concrete proof for it, unlike what the conservatives have been doing since Spiro Agnew.
