This has happened to me. Me and my step-father experienced something very unusual and I thought I would share it with you all. We experience the exact same DaJa vu of the exact same thing. As we were talking about it we realized that we could of some how time travelled. Now, I know this is very unlikely, but what are yalls thoughts?

I wouldn't go as far as saying a Déjà Vu (this is how you spell it) is an actual time travel. I have experienced the feeling of déjà vu many times but I found it was more the impression of having dreamt what was happening, which leads me to think its more something to do with the subconscious or even the random occurrence of an event that happened similarly before.

Nope. The first time that I recall that memory is the first time that I have recalled that memory. It is a different time than the time that I actually experienced the thing that I am remembering. I can tell that the two states are different, because that first time, I didn't know what was going to happen next.

The second time I recall that memory is different than the first time I recalled it. Because I can also recall recalling it.

This isn't time travel. It is called "remembering". And since our memories are pretty awful, it is a gross approximation.

Déjà Vu isn't time travel. It's just a glitch in the Matrix. It happens when they change something.

I think it's more you've had a memory than time travelled. You "remember" that moment, you don't go back to being there.

Travelling back mentally is marginally different from travelling back physically.

Travelling back mentally is called remembering. It is possible.

Travelling back physically is called time travel. It is not possible.

If you remain convinced that travelling backwards mentally is a form of time travel, try travelling in the opposite direction and 'remembering' something that you haven't experienced yet. That is also possible. We call that mental illness.

And we call you a jackass. If with your brain "remembering" the time you were there is "mental" time travel. When you have Daja Vu is "remembering" something that is going to happen is also "time travel"...because if it hasn't happened yet, but it is going to happen I call that "time travel.":frust:

"nothing is impossible" is disproven everyday. And the statement nothing is impossible is impossible to be true since it is a logical contradiction.

Maybe it is possible that nothing has ever been proven. Maybe it is possible that proving things is impossible. Maybe it is possible that our universe is the dream of a gnat, so the Earth hasn't been proven round, because it doesn't really exist.

See how dumb things get when you start you epistemology with "Nothing is impossible?" You end up sounding like a bunch of stoned hippies around a camp-fire trying to sound philosophical.

Time travel is impossible. Because time isn't something that exists, which we travel "through", time is just a concept friend. It is a measure of the changes in the state of a system. That is all it is. We don't move from the past, through the present, and into the future, that is an illusion concocted by our memory, perception, and foresight.

We live in a universe which undergoes changes. There needs to be some way to discuss these changes. What do we call it when things change? What do we call the states that are no longer in place? What do we call the current state? What do we call the states that we can tell are about to exist? That is all "time" is. Period. No more pot-smoking fancy-talk.

Time travel is impossible. 100% sure. Not a doubt. Seriously.
