Last week, I was in an accident. While the police were there, I started talking to the policeman about why we were hearing sirens so much more. Normally, we rarely hear sirens. Shockingly, he told me that the police are getting calls everyday now of people trying to commit suicide in these economic times. The suburb I live in is 3,500 people and just in that size they are having that many attempted suicides. That was pretty shocking to me.
