Hi everyone! It's my first post and i might not be posting anything for some time, so i would just like to leave you with some thoughts... Besides, my own opinion is that everything depends or tends to become dependent on religion (if you understand religion has a simple step ahead of Faith) so... Anyway, i've just been reading the most acefalous of things about crop circles, and i just couldn't stop thinking about how very folcloric and naive it all sounded! And if you just stop to think doesn't all this mania about UFO's kind of takes you to those millions of myths that time never quite got an hand on (because all across the centuries there have always been enough inocent and confined-to-their-own-head people to prolong the madness)! Say for instantes: vampyres or all those pagan remains that led us to invent saints just to make us feel safer than with an all-mighty all-punishing God (an also a very busy one, too busy to be disturbed by someone who has a tiny problem and is afraid to look selfish at His eyes... By the way... if you care to know... i definitly belief that crop circles are nothing but remarkable works of past civilizations. It is prooved that shaman cultures belief in hidden powers within animals and that by releasing and controlling those powers it will become possible for them to performe miraculous cures aswell inner inlightment and so many other different tasks. A theory that explains the existance and function of Crop Circles in places where it is historically known to exist or have existed such cultures says that those megalomanous forms would have been created as holy ground to the development of religious rituals. Hipothetically speaking, the shamman would walk along the crop circle lines (that extend by miles) in an attempt to assume the shape and spirit of the animal!! The theory is much more complex and very well fundamented, estabilishing paralels between shammanic civilizations and explaining the symbolic significance of each of the animals drawed in the plains, but it would take a book to tell you all about it... Anyway, isn't it hummilianting to be so unaware of our roots (as humans)? So unaware that we come to find our selves believing in the most simple of fairy tales!! Wouldn't you hate as i do someone that wastes his time and money in building up a ridicullous web page just prove to everyone that it is possible to be stupid?!? You know what? I just find it interesting that crop circles have not become a phenomenon until right around the space age. I know that there are rumored stories about crop circle prior to the space age. It’s just that, to the best of my knowledge, the only documented crop circles started after the space age. I find this interesting being that I have a history of working in the government and thinking with a government mindset. I look at crop circles as an answer to a serious logistical problem. If, at any time, you have a vehicle in the air that you want to communicate with, you cannot communicate with that vehicle without also potentially communicating with other undesirables. What is needed is a secure method of communication that no one but the intended parties can understand. If you know your history, this will bring to mind the Navaho Code Talkers. No one else, except the Navaho, knew the language. This language was one dimensional in that is was a spoken language only. Many words were purposefully scrambled and many were newly created. No one ever cracked the code. I see real similarities in the crop circle phenomenon. The fact is that, right around the time of the first recorded crop circles, the United States was changing from a policy where in there were few secrets of national security to a policy of increasing matters of national security. You might not know it but, it use to be common for a brand new airplane, even during development, to be paraded around for all to see. We use to think that if others knew what we had, they wouldn’t want to mess with us. Well, other countries were not as forthright. We, wanting to know what they had, needed to make use of spying methods. Methods of doing this by air were just now coming to any real fruition. Now, here’s the dilemma. How do we send a message to an aircrew that can only be interpreted by the intended recipient? Well, like the Navaho Talkers, it’s best to invent a language from an existing one. The language I speak of is geometry. Keep in mind that a reconnaissance mission will generally follow a set pattern of zigzags across a target zone. Now, if, at an appointed point along the path of the target zone, the aircrew was to see a circle, they would immediately get the message to continue to an alternate flight plan. They would not regard any other shape that had not been previously defined prior to the onset of the mission. As time has advanced, the message may now be more than just the shape but also the measurements of the shape. These measurements might contain valuable info that can be quickly deciphered by an image-scanning computer. The beauty is that if the computer or crew is captured somehow, the meaning of the shapes will be of little use. The language is disposable. What a circle meant yesterday is not what it means today. In the olden days, it’s likely that people went out in the middle of the night and made these things. Now, with satellites, it’s not a far stretch to invision a focused energy device that can be used to disrupt the molecular structure of the crops in some way causing them to flex under gravity and air pressure. It’s interesting that, in the beginning, this was all a pretty local thing to England. Well, guess what? England was and is a perfectly friendly place to pass such messages. On top of that, all of the people we like to spy on are just past England. It’s a logistical dream come true. You can pass a message in a language that will have no meaning tomorrow. Others that come in contact with it won’t recognize it for being what it is. It’s non-persistent and will self-destruct in a few days at most. You don’t have to break radio silence. It’s only with the increase in our technology that crop circles have become more elaborate and more accessible to more areas of the world. It seems to point to a man made source. The capabilities of the production of these circles seem to be keeping pace with our technology. I’m sure this is more a matter of Big Brother than Unknown Brother. hmmm... maybe i should of been more specific Oxygen... I'm not a specialist on Crop Circles! And the theory i was talking about on my first post (wich is not mine) was focused on a specific location in Peru. Even though it went along giving examples of other such sites, the theory itself evolved from the reserch of a single place... so i shouldn't have generalized that much... i'm not saying every single crop circle is a work of art from the past, i'm just saying you shouldn't swallow the first theory you hear!!! Besides, i do believe in extraterrestrial live and i do believe in intelligent live from above but i find it very hard to believe that we could some day come to meet a human man from behond, dressing up like my father and knowing the same things we do! Do you believe that Space Exploration is looking for intelligent life or is it looking for human life???? What makes us belief that theres any one out there, racional or irracional listening at Radio waves??? hell!!! look around you... is it man's intellingence that makes us so different from animals or is it our stupidity??? Should there be anything else besides spleeping and eating? This is a very interesting point. Having observed the day to day habits of our pet dogs, tortoises and the local feral cats, these thoughts also pass through my head from time to time. I guess the difference is that our intelligence and our physical limitations create far more complex needs in us, that have to be satisfied in ways that are infinitely different than animals. Besides that, all animals are naturally wild (disregard the animals that man has domesticated for his own benefit, for now) and are ruled by the law of the jungle and survival . This means that most animals spend their whole life struggling for food and in constant fear of attack by other animals, while being at the mercy of the weather and disease. Lifemare, Its man's nature to be curious and to make life easier for himself. So tada! technoligy. What would you do if you were dropped into one of the worlds great rain forest naked with no supplies? You would make yourself clothes, build a shelter, make a bed, make your self some sort of hutting device. You see it is man's nature to do such things.

Tabblariddim, i tottally agree with you! Being an animal is as difficult as being a man. And i wasn't trying to say: "Hey! Fuck the existence of the human soul! Fuck the need for a refrigerator!!! Fuck the government!!! Let's all go live in the jungle!!!" What i do think is that man, compared to the Darwin egxample of the first step of evolution is weaker than it was, his body is less functional that it was, and all that assured our natural survival among beasts is going down the same drain... So, if you consider this, isn't it a good utopia to try and keep a little bit of the jungle within ourselves? or else... we might end up like those aliens in Independence Day... that needed 2 tons of protective suit on top of them to see the day light...lol! talk about worst case scenario! One other thing i didn't quite explain aswell as i would like was that issue about extra-planetary research for "human" life... i mean... look around the world: and try to see how many civilizations are completely equal... we can't even understand our neighbours when we are so tightly in touch with each other (why do japanese people eat dog and rat food and believe in Buda, why do portuguese people eat rabbitt and and why are all the germans so damn blonde????) ... imagine trying to understand an hypotheticall life that as never received any influences from us!?! You or anyone else saying S*** is not much different than me saying "stuff". However I must also say that I prefer not to because I know some people have a real hassle with it. hey!!! of all the things i've been posting for the past days i was expecting everything except to see my cussing become an issue of discussion! Hey Lifemare, I can sympathize. I've thought more about death than is probably healthy by any measure. And ultimately, I find only two reasons to keep going. One: there's always time to quit later. Two: life, us, the universe -- the whole thing! -- just DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE! And it's the damndest thing, but it's what I like the most about it all. The sheer lack of any logic in the very fact that we exist. The all-important, self-involved grandeur of our little lives, playing out its laughable drama of meaningless minutiae juxtaposed against the ageless background of the infinite cosmos. Sometimes, when I'm drunk, just one thought about the sheer nonsense of everything makes me giggle in public... There are several major reasons I so "religiously" dismiss the supernatural: no objective repeatable measurement has ever demanded a supernatural conjecture to be explained. I have a real problem with the dissociation between "material" and "immaterial" -- especially when the latter can still be observed through our "material" sensory apparati, and is supposed to be able to interact with the material while at the same time possessing none of matter's properties (just through what mechanism are these interactions conducted?) As a student of the brain, computer science, information processing, and psychology, I am convinced that the human psyche is entirely material. Despite the burgeoning research in these areas, not one human or animal functionality had surfaced that was not critically associated with a specific physical section of the body, or that could seem to be in principle inexplicable in terms of pure matter. The entire realm of the "paranormal" is way too anthropocentric and anthropomorphic. It possesses all the tell-tale signs of having originated in human imagination. I really do think that we are still too underdeveloped and too ignorant to even begin to brush the truth. You wouldn't want to ask a newborn for insights to life's mysteries, would you? But both our species and our civilization (<u>especially our civilizaion</u>) are newborns.
