The US congress from my observation has acted as a rubber stamp for the demands of the Bush Junta from authorizing an illegal invasion on Iraq to signing away personal freedoms under the Patriot Act . Every Fucking thing Bush wanted he got from Congress and he still won't take good care of your troops , he just wants them to DIE .
Right, Whats next, instituting the draft ? Nothing surprises me anymore. (well, not from the US at least).. At least its tempoary.
Bush vetoes defense spending bill by James Oliphant This is what happens when you read the fine print. President Bush Friday vetoed the massive Defense Authorization Act that hit his desk earlier this month because of a provision that would allow Iraqis to sue their government in federal court in the United States for damages over injuries suffered under Saddam Hussein's regime. This didn't sit well with the current Iraqi government which, of course, would have to pay the tab.
With the rapid downturn in the US economy there will be more than enough unemployed filling the ranks . Try reading further : None so blind ........... How about parting with that "cool million" you told me you had Buffalo , it would be a patriotic thing to do .

You have been predicting this as long as you have been on the Forum, when is it going to happen? No bonus is guarentied, as thing change the bonus's change, standard practice. Yes Foley, you are as blind as the three mice. Really and part with it to whom, remember I am a disabled veteran, and have wisely invested the proceed from my disability payments, plus worked my ass off getting where I am, and I didn't do it sitting behind a machine making widgets and driving my self nuts with repetition, day in day out, week in week out, year in year out, how many more years to retirement Foley? I am retired now, and have been for the last 3 years. I have my health care taken care of as part of the V.A. system and sorry it is a whole lot better at taking care of Vets than the news would like you to believe, but its like any system some times you have to raise a little hell to get things taken care of, but all in all I don't know a vet that isn't taken care of by the system if he will just make the system work for him, and not take no for a answer, I have helped a more than a few vets to make V.A. work for them, and there are a shit load of agencies that do it to, Disabled Veterans Associations, American Gulfwar Veterans Association, Blinded Veterans Association, Korean War Veterans Association, United States Navy Veterans Association, U.S. Army Vietnam Veterans Associations, U.S. Air Force Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, ................
Stop being a drama queen. We are still getting a raise (even though our last payraise was less than a year ago) and pending bonuses will be issued once Congress approves the bill. I sort of doubt any of these bothersome facts matter to you, though.
Europe has supplanted America as the Worlds biggest lender . Europe has supplanted America as the Worlds biggest Exporter . The €uro has supplanted the US $ as the Worlds currency . It is all down hill from here . You didnt work your ass off , you took the easy option joined the military , you who made a living off the taxpayer in a dead end military career for the unemployable where all your food , rent and bills were paid for told what and how to think . The military is for dead beats . Foreman in a factory , it is a job ,I have been working in Manufacturing enterprises all my life and I have 23 years to go . I own my own house own 2 cars been married divorced , I got money saved , good part spent on booze though. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! And you spend your retirement visting forums berating others to fill in time way to go , your an inspiration to us all . Yeah a raise , tell me how much salary does a person in a private security firm pull down in Iraq ? Or better yet join a catering firm and go to Iraq as a dishwasher they are paid real well .
One of my buddies got out two years ago and has been pulling down about $160k, per month, tax free, escorting VIPs along the 16km road to Baghdad International. Some of the contracts you can negotiate are fucking INSANE. I would probably do it myself if I didn't have an idealist streak. Military service pays you shit in comparison to what is asked of you; no argument from me there. This has always been the case though. I was mainly taking issue with the fact that you were using the military to prop up your political statement. If you're actually trying to get our salaries to parity with what a PSC makes, that would be almost as awesome as free beer.
Echo Romeo' Foley is a wannabe, he is stuck in a dead end job ,making widgets, and dreaming of a perfect communist world, he's never even got past the pub at the end of the month, dreams of the peoples revolutionary glory, in a dead end world.
Brian George Bush is either a mastermind controlling the congress and Senate like a puppeteer or someone else is controlling them all. If you blame all this on President Bush I have some prime land in Florida I'd like to sell you.
problem with a draft is it doesnt get the right people, could you see bush drafted into an infantry position? what about the vic pres, rumsfeld ect? They are the ones who should be sent not people from poor families
"INSANE" is correct all it shows is that the Freemarket fanatics running America put more value on Privately run security firms and pay huge amounts of money wastefully because privatization of war complements their ideological beliefs . Yet on the other contempt towards young patriotic men serving their nation are seen as welfare recipients . That is the meaning of my thread . I believed I am stating an obvious fact , the US military are being used as expendable canon fodder . And once again unable to muster a counter debate for my answers to HIS questions .
I'd say Dick Cheney has done just as much as Bush. When was the last time the United States had a Vice President with so much power and influence?
Not that it matters. People generally elect the whole ticket. People knew going in to this presidency that Dick would have a lot of clout. (not defending the guy, just saying) ~String
