Which is a better name?
Who gets to name these? And how can it have 2 names?
Cosmic Bird and Tinker Bell Triplet (http://www.interspacenews.com/interspace%20News%20Web%202/News%20Pages/News%20Page%201098.htm)

Whoever found it can name it.
The first object looks like a hummingbird in the overall image but when you look close you can see the 3 stars or galaxies in the center of it all that resembles tinker bell. Someone was a Peter Pan fan that's for sure!:cool:;);

Science has to be serious sometimes. The realisation, of course, is that being serious doesn't make it lifeless or dull.
Having said that, casual names are ok in conversations.
But on any a semi-science board, with a name like ESO 593-IG 008 it cant be mixed up with anything else.
ie who can forget V838 Mon, Sanduleak -69o 202 or Species 8472......

Hum,
those names are fine. The names are reasonably unique and multicultural.
So if people want to talk about the famous ` Subaru cluster` then its ok.
It's beautiful... it does not apear happy though
