View Full Version : Corpses for the Liberal Catapult

The metaphor in my title is a subtle reference to one of the first instances of biological warfare. The attackers' catapults flung corpses infected with bubonic plague over a city wall, back to the besieged, who were desperately trying to escape and desperately trying to avoid the disease. Their own family members were being returned to them, just like the statements in a recent white house summary of 2003.

On Dec. 13, the White House issued a document entitled "2003: A Year of Accomplishment for the American People." The document made various inaccurate and deceptive claims about the administration's record over the last year. This report by the Center for American Progress seeks to correct those distortions, matching the White House's rhetoric with facts.

I've never heard of this organization. As such, I prefer the facts that they present from outside sources, as opposed to nearly-anonymous "fellows" of their society. Still, the article goes through the lies point-by-point, reducing what the White House constructed to a pile of rubble.

...It seems we have a logistics problem, more than enough rotten corpses but the liberals need a good catapult

Jesus Christ! Enough with the metaphors! What are you talking about?

Hey, give me a few days and I could build a good catapult. What do you want, a trebuchet or say an onager?

The second one sounds cool. I don't know what it is, much less, how it fits into the metaphor though.

I was just hoping some people would disagree with what I posted here. "Your sources are liberal, America-bashing trash, and your citizenship should be revoked" type thing. Yet I see none of that.

I had a dream a night or two ago about conservatives. I was in some position of power, and the media said that they were criticizing my policies, that I was angering them. I went on the tele and said to America "I would swallow a mouthful of anthrax if it would make conservatives angry. Those cold-hearted, archaic bastards can go to hell."
