Computers now under our skin

A small electronic device slapped onto the skin like a temporary tattoo could bring us closer to a future that melds body and machine, a cyborg world where people have cell phones embedded in their throats and Internet browsers literally at their fingertips.

Described in the Aug. 12 Science, the gizmos were developed by researchers looking to create less obtrusive medical monitors for premature babies and other special-needs patients. But the technology’s potential for integrating computers into the human body could be vast.

“This is a huge breakthrough,” says nanoengineer Michael McAlpine of Princeton University. “This goes beyond Dick Tracy calling someone with a cell phone on the wrist. It’s having the wrist itself house the device so it’s always with you.”

Only thing I don't like about this stuff is the rate tech changes. The new model comes out 6 months later that's twice as fast as the old model....you have to go out and get stamped in the same place again.

After 10 years of updates, that spot is just a big blob of scar tissue

But this newer technology is easier to remove, no need to operate just a dermabrasion or acid peel and your good to go again.

It's like. . . Israel purposely uses the The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion to bug the nutters, and the American elites make sure to use Revelations, right? ha hah ha ha. I crack myself up.

 

I don't see this being able to push through. What if it short circuits, then what? Remove and replace? I'm sure that won't come in free. And from the picture, I see the chip is on the wrist area. What if you bang your wrist accidentally and it breaks into a thousand pieces? Good luck with that. I heard there are some countries which have Clubs that need you to have this in order to be a part of them. Ridiculous if you asked me.
