Tetris, the world's most perfect game ever

There was this one site on the internet that took up probably half of my time in high school (although I find it impossible to find anymore). Multiplayer tetris, much like Dr. Mario but it was played online. I think Tetris was the reason I did so poorly in grade 9 and 10.

I don't think so, this was like some german site. You couldn't read any of the instructions or anything but the gameplay was amazing.

I don't know about favorite, but this (http://www.outwar.com/page.php?x=726162) one's addictive. :D

My favorite used to be Starcraft and I still LOVE that game...but then I discovered Star Wars Battlegrounds...It's based on the Ages of Empire game. It's GREAT!!!

Warcraft 3 and expansion. Blizzard have done a brilliant job with this game.

Operation Flashpoint : Cold War Crisis

I love these because they are a FULL battlefield. You can use tanks, aircraft, cars, and standard infantry. It's all very realistic. (It takes 3 men to properly use a tank, not drive with the keyboard shoot with the mouse). Helocopters take skill, especially transport choppers. Planes take some good skill too. Even boats are in the game :). Jeep's HMMWV's its great!

The infantry side is very nice.

The two reasons this game is truly the best:

1) In all games, you are enclosed into a small area. Claustrophobic, no way out. With Operation Flashpoint, you get an ISLAND to play on. Literally thousands and thousands of square feet to play on. Four islands come in Cold War Crisis, one comes in the expansion (resistance). The one for resistance is the biggest and baddest.

2) VERY VERY VERRRRYYYY easy to use mission editor. You can design and create your own missions with a lot of ease. Scripts are easy to write for desired special effects. And standard layout is easy.

The best part about mission editing is that you can make your own practice sessions. And, when you have to download a map, it takes at most two minutes. Since they are all on 5 standard islands, you only have to download positions of the people, and scripts for the map. That's it!

Baldur's Gate II is very addictive...I also love Aliens vs Predator II, that is fun.

Oh yeah, Quake! That was a long time ago...I played all three plus the mods... Those were the days...:p

quakeworld and quake3 are still the greatest games ever :P

UT beats quake3. More weapons, play types. Better bots. More fun in general.

Let me know if any of you tried Master of Orion 3 and Simcity 4. I wonder if those are worth getting.

I am trying not to buy championship manager 4. That game is extremely addicting.

i fell asleep watching a mate play UT. when i had a go, i had to set the gameplay speed to about 140% before it felt anywhere near as active as quake 3.. that game is like watching a movie in slow motion.. painful, man. quakeworld is even faster.. UT would probably ahve to be about 170% speed to match the feel.. but theres something very raw and beautiful about qw, that no other game has ever matched

I generally dislike unreal weapons
therefore I enjoy such games as Soldier of Fortune and Rogue Spear

Master of Orion 2 is a cult classic. I can't imagine 3 being bad, but I have seen bad reviews so far.

I'm kind of addicted to Dark Ages of Camelot, and proud to say I'm getting my Twinkle Toes addicted too :-D

Oh yes, Bees, I love DAoC (thank you :) ). I also like playing ROM hacks Prince Of Persia and Super KKK Bros. 1 and 2.

Edited: Oh, and I also play regular 'ol Solitare, Pinball, Minesweep, FreeCell, Pool, online Checkers and Chess, [Root]Beer Tapper. I started Auryn Quest some time ago and got annoyed by it. I bought Schizm and Beyond Atlantis 2 a while ago and haven't had time to play it let alone install it 8^/ .

I own a heck of alot of games (over 70ish), however my favorite series are Mechwarrior (and commander), Command and conquer, Warcraft, and the Wing Commander series was fun. MOO 3 is NOT worth getting. Just keep on walking.

I agree with Krassos. If you've never played UT you've never played. Played quake once, went straight back to UT
