I haven't even been watching football this year, but I'm pretty sure the Bears have better defense(unless something changed...a lot), so...Bears?

I'm going to have to agree.

I have money on Da Bears!

Chicago is one of the few cities I hold no animosity towards, professional sports wise Boston? I hate. Baltimore? I hate. Seattle? I hate. Buffalo? I hate. But not Chicago.

I'd like to say da beers but...with Tommie Harris still out they wont get enough pressure on Manning. He'll get into a groove in the 2nd half.

Colts 31, Bears 21.

Hope I'm wrong though.

Me thinks the colts have always looked good for the past 4-5 years, consistently, they always loose out in the playoffs. They deserve it. Speaking of sports, Sharapova goes down under in the land down under.

Thankyou. If the Bears win, Prince James gets many, many infractions.

Colts, but seeing as I've got 5 predicted winners correct in a row it's going to end sometime so don't hold me to that.

I say Bears 28, Colts 21.

It's good to live at a university that's only a few hours away from Chicago, our whole dorm's going fucking crazy already...

Who will take it??? Why the owners of the NFL will be the biggest winners with a take away of over 6 billion dollars worldwide!!

well, colt has more firepower than a bear, but without someone to operate it, id say the bear would have the upper hand.... can you please state the topic properly next time? it wasnt until i realised that people were listing scores that i realised these were sport teams of some sort. :p

Fuck. According to my calculations, the Bears have a 90% chance of winning. They will exploit Peyton Manning's thumb injury. Shitfuck, I bet my balls on this game.
I also fear that the Colts might experience a post-win syndrome and developed a passive mentality where they think they've accomplished enough by having beaten the Patriots.

Colts win.:(
Oh well, since I'm a hoosier, I don't mind it too much, but would have prefered the Bears. Also, now I have to buy lunch for my office!

Here's my theory. Most people's attention were on the names of the teams and let it be the determinant in who should win. "Bears" (big mutha fuckas) or "Colts" (some little girl's horsey).

As far as I'm aware on paper the Bears had all the advantages, even the weather. The Colts had an unpredictable Manning who threw a solid game. As the old saying goes, games aren't won on paper. They're won on that big green thing out there. ;)

Hope to see the Dophins in there next year though, or I'd settle for the Falcons.

The Bears frickin' sucked it up from the 2nd quarter on. TERRIBLE. Grossman was just pathetic.

I was rooting for the bears mainly because I was a child during the 80s.......well, 'rooting' for them isn't accurate because I'm not really much of a football fanatic (I didn't even watch the whole game.......just part of the 2nd half, part of the halftime show, and ~2 minutes of the 4th).

At any rate, my 'preference was influenced more by the hype they had as a child -- with all the SNL skits about Ditka and the "superfan", and the whole "superbowl shuffle"...........shortly after this, the team vanished off the face of the earth.
20 years later.....this season when I heard coworkers talking about them being in the superbowl this year, and it immediately triggered the thought "daa Bears are back?"

Oh well-- I say all this as a counter-argument to the idea that preference is somehow solely totemic

The Conference loyalty thing. I went to see Letters from Iwo Jima during the game. Watching football is so frustrating. All the endless replaying and commercials are just too much.
Congrats Indianapolis! Your 1st Superbowl Win! You can't count Superbowl 5, that was the Baltimore team.
As a Chiefs fan I'm STILL waiting........

Especially considering the fact that they could easily have won the game up to and including the forth quarter! They needed Ditka screaming at them to get their asses in gear!
